Our entire existence is predicated upon the man and work of Jesus. Yes, I firmly believe that statement. My identity is not derived from my external world with its vices, sick ideologies, and world views. All of who I am and my essence is found in Jesus, the creator of all created things. A mere mortal man and all of the books he publishes will never find the purpose for man, for he will write for eternity volumes of madness, never reaching the bottom of life’s abyss. He will search and seek but will never find - because the answer doesn’t lie within us, but within the salvation of God who is self-sufficient and self-sustainable throughout all the ages of wisdom and technology. He is the all-wise God.
Even we, shattered and tainted by sin, can love to a capacity by the grace of God because we share in the image of God. But — Only God, whose essence is love, is the purest form of love. God’s love is not a mere attribute like we possess, it’s his essence. We do love, but we are not love. We have the capacity to love but not always purely and perfect like God because it’s not an attribute that God only possesses, it’s something that entails of who God is; He doesn’t have capacity to love, no, he is love. This love can never be tainted or changed by any external force or circumstance because God is immutable - He never changes. Wind and erosion change the grounds and rocks we walk on over the ages but our sovereign God, the Ancient of days, changes not one bit. He is our everlasting God not swayed by anything in the entire universe. The rock of ages He is. Amen.
O how vast and deep are your attributes O God! May we always be in awe of your greatness and mercy that endures forever! Matchless King, help us to not love in our own strength because we are incapable. Let us love because you love and by your amazing grace, share that love with people.

” There’s no ignoring of the bible on Bendo’s tattoos. Old testament dietary, customary, and hygienic laws are no longer applicable. Only the moral law. Tattooing back in old testament days was a common pagan ritual. According to the bible, the non moral laws were for the purpose of making the Jews visibly distinct from the surrounding nations, as well as healthier, so they could multiply faster; and when miracles occurred, they’d be attributed directly to the “God of the Jews”. That in itself is a cool story, but I’ll hold off on that. But now days, eating pork is OK, mixing fabric, shaving your beard is OK, and, yes, even tattoos are ok. The key is modesty and moderation.”

My heart goes out to all the soldiers who have to face decisions every day that endanger them and the lives of others around them.
